Really, I may have various after Christmas tips that work for our family…like GET THE DECORATIONS DOWN ON THE 26TH BEFORE MOMMY OVERDOSES ON CLUTTER! Or, if you are sentimental, like I am about the Christmas cards, just save them! For as long as I can remember, even before we had children, we have put our cards in a basket, or even the drawer in our dining room table, and we choose a card a family dinner time, so that when we say the blessing that night, we pray over the family that sent us the card. It’s my favorite tradition. I’ve shared it here and even here before, but I have always loved going to the mailbox and discovering a box full of cards, especially the ones with family pictures on them, so praying over these precious families is one of the best ways we’ve found to enjoy our cards longer. Thanks to so many of you for sending us a card this year. We do not take lightly the time you spend getting cards ready and thinking enough of us to send us one. We always feel so loved. Enjoy the rest of 2011 and we pray that new traditions and memories will fill the walls of your home.
